Meet Charles

So….. I try to write.  I write about the woman I love, raising four kids, the pets, the job,  and the lack of money that comes with them all. I live south of the South. I lean left of the Left.  I try to write about things that won’t get my house firebombed; which makes me a coward or a reasonable parent. I have strong opinions, but I am open to others. I listen before I speak, or write. I talk for a living, but often feel like I don’t have much to say. My kids seem normal, God, I hope we’re getting that right. Oh,  and I sleep with my best friend, which is nice.

  1. I really enjoyed reading your post on 42 things you will teach your teenage sons. I think I will take some of these for myself even though I am not a teenager 🙂 Thanks and I look forward to reading more!

  2. I am absolutely intrigued by your “about” page. “Regular guy?” I’m sure your family would beg to differ.
Glad our paths crossed and I look forward to reading/hearing more.

  3. I first read your blog about your new graduate. Congratulations. I attended my youngest child’s graduation on May 20. I am flooded with lots of the same emotions. I very much enjoyed your blog and wanted to let you know that I have signed up to receive future writings by email.

The other reason I had to leave a comment for you is because I grew up in the same area as your lovely, sweet wife. She’s the best and I would love for you to tell her I said hello and I hope she is doing wonderfully.

And I guess we will somehow survive these graduations. I know that this is what is supposed to happen and my child’s graduation is a positive step for her in her life’s journey….. but it sure will be hard because I miss her already.

My best to you and your family,
    Melissa

    1. Hey Melissa, thanks for the kind words and for connecting. Already showed Bep your comment and she gushed about you about like you did about her. We will survive these graduations! Thanks again, CD
